GENERAL INFORMATION

GENERAL. In order to be assured that the breathing air produced by this compressor is of acceptable quality for
human consumption, the compressor and all elements of the overall system must be carefully maintained in strict
compliance with the schedules and procedures contained in this manual. Keeping complete and accurate records of all
maintenance performed and all repairs required can prevent serious injury to the operating personnel or to the diver using
the air produced by the unit.

COMPRESSOR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE. The maintenance requirements of the compressor are all related
to either frequency of use or operating time. Table 4-1 lists the maintenance item, the frequency of maintenance and
appropriate instructional reference paragraph.
